Best advice for future bride/grooms?

Do not be afraid to ask for help when you need it! We were so grateful for our friends and family and their willingness to help us when we needed.

Best wedding related decision?

Having a second reception in the bride's home province after the wedding to celebrate with family members who were unable to travel the distance to Ottawa.

What was the funniest memory from your wedding day?

On the way from the ceremony to the reception venue, a couple members of the wedding party needed to use the bathroom. The closest available bathroom was a service station Tim Horton’s, so we pulled up in our limo and those who needed to went inside wearing their dresses and tuxes.

What is your favourite image from your wedding day and why?

The image of Matt and I facing each other in the garden surrounded by greenery and flowers. All the stress of the day was done and we knew we were close to the time to party. We were totally relaxed by that point and I think that the reality that we were married was starting to sink in.
