Which one moment will last for each of you forever?

Lauren

The moment the doors opened from the Garden House, seeing all of our friends and family together and then walking down the aisle to marry the most amazing man! My dad and I had practiced walking down the aisle slow, but the moment the doors opened he told me I just took off down the aisle, and he had to keep up with me!

Mike

The moment the doors opened and I could finally see Lauren in her dress. When she walked down the aisle nothing else mattered and I couldn’t see any one but her.

Best advice for future bride/grooms?

Plan it in a year or less. We took 18 months to plan our wedding and it was too much time. Also, spend big on the things that matter to you the most. For us we wanted an amazing photographer (which we got!) and a great venue.

Best wedding related decision?

Hands down our photographer! 15 years from now, we might not remember what the flowers looked like, or what we had for dinner, but our pictures are going to last a lifetime! They captured our day perfectly and hold all the memories of our big day!

What was the funniest memory from your wedding day?

The speeches! They were all amazing, but there was one moment that was the best of all. Mike’s mom got emotional reading her speech, so Mike’s dad stepped in to finish it, and he read right off the paper, “as your mother, Michael.”

What is your favourite image from your wedding day and why?

My bridesmaid and her husband, who had just had twins, were unable to physically be at the wedding, but we were able to FaceTime them so they could watch the ceremony. Right after we exited the ceremony we were handed Mike’s phone with them still on FaceTime. We were able to briefly talk to them and it was captured in a picture. It was such a special moment for us that they were still able to be a part of our wedding!
