With a bit of light rain in the forecast last weekend, I headed to photograph Amy and Braden’s wedding with an arrogant confidence that was quickly squashed by mother nature in the form of torrential downpour with a little thunderstorm action thrown in.
However, I do have to say that the rain happened at the best time. Amy and Braden said their vows under cloudy skies in Amy’s parents’ gorgeous back yard. We even were able to get all the family photos done before the big storm. And it was a lot of rain.
And then, the BEST thing happened….SUN!! Glorious, wondrous, magical sun!
The heat was immense. The rain was torrential. And that mixed together to make all the wet pavement start to evaporate to form clouds to steam everywhere…and…what.a.dream.
I could not be happier with how these portraits turned out and I am so very honoured to have been a part of Amy and Braden’s wedding day.
