What a year!

It’s been almost a full year since I’ve posted on this blog.

I’m not going to lie, the pandemic closures were really hard on me. My business kept opening, then closing, then opening, then closing. Once again I completely lost my entire spring season, and half of my yearly income with it. It’s been rough.

With that came the lack of motivation to actually post or do anything at all. So I allowed myself to step back from the business and just feel my feelings.

But now things are hopefully looking up. Vaccinations are available and happening (I get my second dose tomorrow!!!) and Ottawa is slowly moving in the right direction in terms of beating this virus.

While I’m still nervous things may shut down again, I’m trying to focus on everything that I am grateful for, including each and every one of you, as well as the fact that I am allowed to photograph humans that are not my own family again.

During this time off, I was actually able to upgrade my photography equipment and I am really excited about the quality of the new gear.

Because everything was closed when the magnificent spring blossoms were out, I had to take our own family photos with a tripod and a self timer, but I have to tell you that I am more than thrilled with the results!
