This is the engagement session that almost didn’t happen! After having to reschedule TWICE because of the insanely cold temperatures we’ve been having lately, we then had to change locations because of the massive snowstorms covering Ottawa in the week before our shoot. Then, the morning of our session brought insane winds, but it didn’t scare Lauren and Mike! Needless to say, we were really excited when we were actually able to have the session.
The winds died down enough that we didn’t freeze our toes off and we had fun to boot. The couple wanted a historically significant location, as Lauren works for the collections at the Ottawa museums and is a big history buff. So, under the watchful eye of Lamira Billings, whose cutout had been surreptitiously and strategically placed in the attic of the Billings Museum, we had a great time shooting around the historic site, even if we did have to shovel to get to a few places!
