Wine Country Romance ~ Nikki and Lee’s Engagement Sneak Peek
On Friday I spent the day driving around Prince Edward County with some very special people. I’ve known Nikki since…well kind of forever it seems. Nikki and I went to high school together, but became close after we both became a part of something that holds a really special place in both of our hearts, Survivor Network. When we were in university, we both became a part of the organizational team that held a weeklong camp in Muskoka for teen survivors. Along with three other wonderful young adults, we brought together cancer survivors from the ages of 14 through 24 to a supportive, yet relaxed environment and I know that both of us have so many wonderful memories of our Survivor Network days. Just looking back through the 2004 and 2005 images brought a perma-smile to my face.
I could’t help but post an image of us together from those days. Nikki and I in the summer of 2005, rocking our “formal wear” for one of our theme nights at camp.
Needless to say, I was beyond thrilled when Nikki and her wonderful fiancé Lee, asked me to photograph their wedding this October. I couldn’t wait to spend the day with both of them for their engagement session in a place that is that holds special meaning to their relationship, Prince Edward County.
I’d also like to send a special thank you to my awesome husband, Thomas, for coming along to the drive to Kingston, and for helping out at the session!
And now without further adieu, the lovely couple!
This gorgeous view is from a conservation space called Little Bluff. The view was phenomenal.
On the gorgeous, albeit rocky, beach.
After leaving Little Bluff, we then travelled to the other side of the county to Nikki and Lee’s favourite Winery, By Chadsey’s Cairn.
Nikki’s ring is a beautiful raw diamond from Diamond In The Rough.
