Mutual Weirdness
We are all a little weird and lifes a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love. ~ Dr. Seuss
You have no idea how happy it makes me to see elderly couples together – I seriously get all teary eyed. Ever since I met Thomas, I knew that I wanted to grow old with him, and be exactly like the couple I saw leaving the grocery store yesterday – he carried the bag and helped her along, she supported him when he got a little wobbly, and they even had a small little argument before putting the bag into the trunk. I watched them, and I’m sure if they noticed, they would have been weirded out, but I couldn’t help it. It made me so happy.
Four years ago today, I married my best friend.
Each and every day I am so thankful that Thomas and I found each other. We are the perfect blend of boring and weird and he puts up with my clumsiness and I adore his quirkiness. I never get tired of spending time with him, even if it’s just reading our books beside each other – I love cheesy romance novels and he loves his sci-fi adventure stories.
I am so proud to be his wife and not that I’m rushing or anything, but I am looking forward to being that cute old couple helping each other carry groceries to the car.
Last fall, we got all dressed up in our wedding attire again and had a portrait session with the amazing photographer, and friend, Barbara-Ann Studios.
Amazing flowers by Michelle Vandenbosch.
Loved Thomas’ boutonniere.
We have a canvas of this portrait in our living room and I love looking at it every day and seeing the joy in our faces. It makes me happy.
My amazing Figgie Shoes – custom, hand painted shoes that are personalized to us specifically. I love them!
We headed to Ikea at night to take some fun urban shots. This is in the parking lot.
And this pretty much sums me up.
Love this one. The arrow is perfection.
My amazing hair was done by Heather at Luxe Spa – I highly recommend them for hair as well as makeup and nails too!
Running and jumping.
I am totally in love with, and highly recommend all of my vendors I worked with for this shoot.
