Happy 6th Birthday Paddington!
I cannot believe it’s been 6 years since we brought Paddington home. She’s always been a nervous dog, but she’s also extremely sweet and loving. For her birthday yesterday, she and I went for a walk together by ourselves and I took some portraits of our little girl.
So often I capture others beloved pets, but I sometimes forget to turn the camera on my own four-legged family members.
Paddington came to us at 8 weeks old and what we didn’t realize at the time, was that she came from a puppy mill. This meant that in the coming years, we experienced many health issues such as bad knees that required surgery as well as massage therapy for the rest of her life to keep her knees strong.
Paddy is a headstrong and independent dog who loves running, playing fetch with tennis balls and morning cuddles with her humans (us!).
I love how scruffy she is! Her hair doesn’t grow very much because of her bad breeding background, but on the plus side, she doesn’t need much grooming either!
“Those treats are good Mom” Nom nom nom…
One of Paddy’s favourite things to do is run. I think she wishes I was more of a runner.
The image on the left really displays Paddy’s nervous side, and the one on the right is who she is when she is comfortable – happy
and running.
Snaggletooth! So cute!
She does EVERYTHING she can to avoid looking at the camera.
“Are you STILL taking pictures of me?? Sheesh”
We call this look: side-eyes.
Have a wonderful day,
