United and Reunited ~ Claudia and Mike’s Wedding

Claudia and Mike married in September of 2011. It was a really joyful wedding, the tone of which was mirrored by the bright pops of green and orange worn by the wedding party. In addition to the happiness of getting married, these feelings of joy came from a family reunion. Much of Claudia’s family came from South America for the occasion and some of them had not seen each other in over ten years!

This tone of celebration pulsed through the whole day. There was a lot of laughter, dancing and (to my delight) candy. The couple chose The Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club as their location, and it was the perfect backdrop to the day.

I asked Claudia and Mike some questions about their wedding and here is what they had to share:

Which one moment will last for each of you forever?
Claudia: Coming down the stairs and seeing Michael’s reaction to seeing me for the first time.
Mike: Seeing Claudia walking down the aisle in her dress for the first time.

Best advice for future bride/grooms?
Take time to enjoy every minute of it, it will be gone so fast!!

Best wedding related decision?
We decided to hire Michelle Vandenbosch to do our flowers!!! I’m so happy I didn’t make them with my bridesmaids the night before!

What was the funniest memory from your wedding day?
Our MC getting the maid of honor wrong, and calling out for my bridesmaid Charmaine by her nickname “sweet Charmanella”. He had convinced himself it was her, and not my sister!

What is your favourite image from your wedding day and why?
This is a tough one because we love them all!!! But I think the images that were on our Thank You cards are absolutely gorgeous!!!
