Cottage on the Beach ~ Adrienne and Patrick’s Engagement Session
Adrienne and Patrick met at a friend’s wedding, and now they are preparing for their own! I met the couple in 2010 when I photographed their dogs, Kirby and Penny, and was so thrilled to be able to document this important time in their lives. My sister Jane and I drove up to Adriennes family cottage to take some engagement photos of this cute couple.
Patrick planned to propose to Adrienne on the beach at the cottage but it was raining that night, so she was a little grumpy when they set out for a walk with the dogs. Her mood quickly changed when Patrick presented her with his late mothers engagement ring.
This cottage was amazing – Jane and I were expecting the usual dock and lake situation and were very surprised to see the long and beautiful sandy beaches! Just when we thought it couldnt get any better, they led us to an exquisite cold-water creek.
These two were great sports, walking, climbing sand dunes, balancing on rocks, wading through water, and fending off mosquitos and toads. We had a lot of fun though and after we all cooled off with a swim in the lake (except for Penny who watched from the beach). I am so excited to photograph their wedding in October – I know it is going to be a heartfelt and happy day.

The adorable Penny, by the water that she doesn’t particularly love to swim in..

Kirby, rocking the modeling

This engagement ring is so special and has such wonderful family history.

Have a wonderful day,
