Dog Art: Scruffy Style
Not only do I love photographing dogs, but I love showing off what clients have done with their portraits. Scruffy‘s human, Karen, really wanted to show off Scruffy’s awesomeness on her walls in a big way and we ended up accomplishing this with a custom canvas cluster. A canvas cluster is when more than two canvases are grouped together on one wall and they look amazing.
Karen opted for four square canvases at 12″x12″ and a custom sized 25″ canvas for the middle to really pop the images. I absolutely love the portraits she chose to display and I think it looks so fantastic in her home.
My amazing hubby, Thomas, hung the canvas cluster for Karen. I helped by handing him tools and holding things up. I was integral in the hanging of these canvases (yea…not so much! haha)
Here are Karen and the Scruffmeister enjoying their new wall of art!
And now for some of my favourite images from Scruffy’s session. Scruffy is an amazing pooch who has been through a lot before finding his human, Karen. At the age of 6, it’s hard for dogs to be adopted, but that didn’t matter to Karen. As soon as she saw his image online she knew he was the one. She drove hours and hours to Barrie, Ontario to pick up Scruffy, and they have been best friends ever since. Karen and Scruffy have worked so hard to help him overcome his past and this photo session was a celebration of who Scruffy has become: a cute little gentleman who fiercely loves his human…and she in return.
And without further adieu, the man of the hour himself, Scruffy.
Have a wonderful day,
