Lauren and Alex’s Rustic Winter Wedding at Strathmere ~ Sneak Peek
Posted on Jan 22, 2012 at 3:06 pm by Liz · 10 CommentsYesterday was the perfect day for an outdoor winter wedding at Strathmere and Lauren and Alexs’ wedding was the perfect winter wedding! Every detail was planned out perfectly, down to the wood invitations and maple syrup dressing favours.
I think that everyone in attendance thought Lauren looked absolutely stunning and Alex was quite the handsome gentleman. These two were so brave to weather the cold temperatures for some beautiful winter portraits.
Lauren and Alex, it was such an honour to capture your wedding day and I know you two will be happy for years to come.

Have a wonderful day,

Picnic in the Snow ~ Jen and Dan’s Engagement Sneak Peek
Posted on Jan 15, 2012 at 7:46 pm by Liz · 1 CommentIt’s not every day that you meet a couple who wants to do their portraits in the winter – but Jen and Dan aren’t your regular couple. These two are such wonderful people and Jen and I talked about a winter engagement session at our very first meeting at our wedding consultation!
Needless to say, yesterday was a very cold day in Ottawa but these two were such troopers. We began at the Bank of Canada and then headed out around downtown Ottawa and the Supreme Court of Canada for some hot chocolate and a pseudo picnic in the snow!
Jen and Dan – thank you for freezing your toes off and getting covered in snow. I had such a blast with you and I hope you did as well!

Brave brave souls who would lay down in the snow for this shot!

Have a wonderful day,

The Perfect Pair ~ Kurtis and Bailey’s Sneak Peek
Posted on Nov 13, 2011 at 5:27 pm by Liz · 1 CommentYesterday I had the honour and pleasure of capturing Kurtis and Bailey’s wedding day.
Every bit about the day was perfect and completely them – down to the last detail. Even though it was a bit chilly, the sun even came out and blue sky emerged – it was picture perfect.
These two got married in Almonte and we took their portraits in Pakenham. I just love photographing in the countryside.
We even stopped by the plot of land that these two lovebirds are hoping to build their first home on.
Kurtis and Bailey, I had such a wonderful day with you two yesterday!

Big Love in Little Italy ~ Krista and Dan’s (& Riker) Sneak Peek
Posted on Oct 29, 2011 at 5:11 pm by Liz · 1 CommentThis morning I spend a few hours walking around Little Italy and Westboro with Krista and Dan. These two were so much fun and braved the chilly morning with laughter and a few tears (on account of the cold making Krista’s eyes water like crazy).
These two lovebirds are getting married in Newfoundland next summer, but wanted some engagement portraits in the city that they now live in, and love.
We began in Little Italy, walking along Preston Street, taking in the morning sun and posing in front of cute restaurant after cute restaurant.
And in front of blue doors…

An aforementioned cute restaurant (don’t ask me which one though because I can’t remember! haha)

I just love this mural underneath the bridge and I asked Krista and Dan to pose like the silhouettes around them.

I also spent some time creeping in bushes and looking a bit like a stalker – I’m pretty sure that’s what they are laughing about here on the right.

We then headed to their apartment to pick up their fur-kid, Riker, the pug. This guy’s love of the camera was only to be outdone by his love for treats.
This is his, “Please Liz, may I have some more?” face.

Look I’m sitting, can I have the treat?

“Hey guys, whatcha doin’? I thought we were going for a walk here!” – Riker the pug.

Colour Moving and Still ~ a special project
Posted on Oct 24, 2011 at 3:41 pm by Liz · 2 CommentsYesterday afternoon I had fun – a lot of fun. I can’t tell you everything about what this session was for, but I can tell you that it involved some pretty awesome people and we all had a great afternoon.
You may remember Genevieve and James from their beautiful summer wedding this past August.
One part of the shoot included some beautiful jewellery from Pearls4Girls which is a fantastic organization that fundraises for women’s’ leadership programs in Lesotho. I have been working with them capturing images for their catalog, and now also, for their bridal collection. I’ll post more about these beautiful pieces soon. For now, here’s Genevieve, the beautiful model!

Genevieve recently changed her hair colour and it matched the fall foliage so perfectly.

Love.

This one is so adorably awesome.

Happy romance.

The infamous Jeff from Equivocality Films hard at work.

So cute.

These images make me laugh – these two spun around again and again and again and didn’t fall once… but they were definitely very dizzy! haha. I also love how Jeff is doing some sort of sit-up behind them in the shot on the left. Makes me laugh. haha

This image is so fab that I had to include it ginormously large.

Genevieve and James – thank you a thousand times!!! It was so great to hang out with you yesterday. And a special thank you to Geneveive’s bestie, Katie, for coming along to carry stuff too – all of you rock my socks!!!!
Have a wonderful day,
