The Story of Their Wedding Day ~ Jenn and Tyler

I’ve mentioned before how much I love creating Photo Books and how much I love what we get to do with your photos after the session or wedding.

This is Jenn and Tyler‘s Photo Book. They ordered a beautiful 12×12, 40 page book and it is just stunning.

Books are heirloom pieces that can be passed down to future generations to remember such a beautiful wedding day. All of our photo books are professionally bound, hardcover with thick, lay-flat pages.

One thing that’s great about using my two passions, photography and graphic design, together, is that I get to create an array of stellar products for my clients that has a string of continuity throughout each piece. Every item holds its own and looks great, but you can definitely tell that these products belong to the same set.

Soul-mates: two halves of the same soul

I’ve been trying to write this post for about two weeks now, I’m not going to lie. Jenn and Tyler are awesome, and I was trying to come up with an uber clever and wordy way of saying it, but I couldn’t come up with anything other than awesome, because that’s what they are.

Our first wedding consultation back in February lasted almost two hours. I left feeling like I didn’t just spend some time with clients, but that I spent time with friends. The same thing happened when I met with Jenn the week before the wedding and we chatted for three hours!

Jenn and Tyler had an engagement session with me which we used to create a one of a kind wedding invitation. You might remember the session I blogged here. I even got a free burger from The Works from writing that post!

Their wedding day was perfect. It was a beautiful sunny day and there was so much love in the air. When I arrived at their house to capture Jenn getting ready with her bridesmaids, she was relaxed and the three were having a light lunch with more than perfect hair. As she got dressed, I could see that Jenn was excited, underneath all that calm energy, she was excited to marry her best friend in a few hours. Tyler waited at the church, getting everyone settled and ready for the ceremony.

The ceremony was held in the Church was the Christ Church Huntley, which holds a lot of meaning to Tyler’s family – it has been their family church for many years and they are very much involved in the parish. The ceremony was beautiful and everyone could barely hold back their emotions. Everything was so beautiful and the day was perfect.

And the car…oh the car!! Jenn had a family friend who loaned them the most beautiful car I’ve ever seen. A lavender vintage cadillac. It matched the colour scheme and provided a whole other level of cool. I actually squealed out loud when I first saw it!

The reception was catered by the wonderfully talented Epicuria and cannot deny that I ate a ton and enjoyed every single bite. The food was so good that I am going to save those photos for a post all by themselves.

Jenn and Tyler are awesome, and there really isn’t any other word. Anyone who meets them can tell that they are perfect for each other and are so in love. I know that they will be happy together forever.

I cleared off their kitchen shelves for the top shot and balancing those bouquets took some patience I tell you!

I love the light in this shot. It really shows how warm, sunny and beautiful their wedding day was.

One word: shoes. The ladies were so great and didn’t complain once as I had them walk all over the parking lots at the Arboretum!

One of my favourite groomsmen photos ever. I love the reflection in his glasses.

There is something about this photo that I just love. I don’t know why, but I do.

The dancing at this wedding was great. I admit I busted a move on the dance floor as well!

I accidentally got myself in Tyler’s ring while shooting some details shots. I thought it was quite funny. I call it “Self Portrait in a Ring”

Vintage Glam ~ Jenn and Tyler’s Wedding Sneak Peek!

Jenn and Tyler were married yesterday on a beautiful day with pretty much the coolest car you’ll ever see, ever. Oh and Jenn and Tyler are pretty cool too.

Lots more of these two soon, but for now, just one before they head off to Vienna and Prague this afternoon!

Jennifer and Tyler ~ Engagement Session in Graffiti Wall Heaven

I love Westboro Village. I love it so much and for many reasons. I love it for Bark & Fitz where my dogs would live if they could. I love it for The Works, where I would eat every day if I could! I love it for Lululemon and my very unhealthy addiction to their clothes and bags and…everything! But most of all I love it for the feeling you get when you’re there. It is such a charismatic place and is full of such creative energy.

I have been wanting to shoot in Westboro Village with its myriad of beautiful graffiti and painted building walls, so you can imagine my excitement when Jennifer and Tyler wanted to have their engagement session there.

We met in the early evening to take advantage of less people as well as the beautiful spring sun as it was setting. We made use of many of those walls I was after and had a great time – you can’t help but have a great time when around these two.

I had such a hard time trying to narrow down which photos to show on the blog, so obviously I chose too many. So many of them screamed, show me!! You saw their sneak peek image the other day.

So without further adieu, please enjoy these photos of Jennifer and Tyler, in love.

This amazing wall is across from The Works and the only things that aren’t painted are the staircase, the green in front of the dog and obviously, Jenn and Tyler. It’s remarkable.

Jennifer and Tyler are wonderful and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding on August 7th!!

PS. and now after writing this post I am really craving a burger from The Works. Thomas would probably say, “How is that different from any other day?”. I wasn’t kidding when I said I could probably eat there every day. Hands down favourite burger of all time from The Works: Sum Yung Guy – sticky cream cheese, caramelized onions, gouda & limp strip bacon. sooooo yummy. Now I REALLY want one! And don’t even get me started on how good their Beechhouse Sauce is!!
