A little tumble didn’t ruin his day!
Posted on Apr 5, 2011 at 10:00 am by Liz · No CommentsI had the pleasure of photographing little Jack a few days before Christmas and he was such a sweetheart. The poor little monkey had a fall about 15 minutes after we started the session and we had to take a quick break and watch some cartoons while getting Mommy-cuddles to make it all better.
After our little break, we played trucks in the kitchen and eventually braved the cold and headed outside for a walk in the park. I just love little kids in snow-suits! So cute!
Jack is such a wonderful little boy and his parents love him very much. He wasn’t too sure about me after his fall (I think he thought my big lens might have cause it – I promise it didn’t!), so Mom and Dad jumped up and down many times over to get him to giggle and although I wasn’t the one jumping and out of breath, I think it was very much worth it! Jack had a wonderful time and eventually forgot about the lady with the scary camera and had a great time.
Thank you Paulette and Tim for allowing me to capture your son’s joyful spirit. I can’t wait to do it again!
I love the face he is making!

Not too sure of me…

This was not posed at all – this is 100% natural and how he decided he wanted to watch TV. So adorable! Love the little pinkie sticking out.

Jumping, jumping and more jumping!

Best face ever. Love it!

I just love this series.

I love creating custom items from portrait sessions and one of my absolute favourite products are these super adorable 3×3 Mini Books. They are magnetic and even stick to the fridge!

Have a wonderful day,

Family, Friends and Food!
Posted on Oct 21, 2010 at 7:27 pm by Liz · 2 CommentsWhen I was in Toronto a few weeks ago, I had the chance to photograph the lovely Pesce family.
I’ve known the Pesce family for many, many years. Sarah and I went to high school together and it was so great to see her, her fiance and her family for this session. Her parents still live in the same house she grew up in so when I was invited for supper after the session, it was just like old times. Mrs. Pesce is the most fabulous cook and I always love having dinner with them. They had the most amazing gorgonzola mascarpone cheese that is making my mouth water as I write about it.
So while you take a look at some photos from our session, I’m going to get something to eat!

Have a wonderful day,

A fun family session in Toronto ~ a sneak peek
Posted on Sep 19, 2010 at 10:14 pm by Liz · 1 CommentReconnecting with good friends is one of my favourite things about visiting Toronto. This time, I got to reconnect as well as shoot a session of a good friend from my high school days. Both of us are all grown up now, but it’s nice to catch up and spend some time together.
Sarah and I go way back – we have been friends for 12 years….wow…seriously? I don’t think I’ve ever really counted before but yes, 12 years! So when Sarah asked me to photograph her family, I couldn’t have been happier! We had lots of fun, and just like the old days, I was even invited for dinner!
Here’s one sneak peek for tonight. More soon.

Have a wonderful day,

A Lovely Engagement ~ Vicki and Matt’s Sneak Peek
Posted on Sep 19, 2010 at 9:31 pm by Liz · 2 CommentsI am spending this weekend in Toronto with family – I flew here on Thursday and left Thomas and the puppies to fend for themselves for a few days while I visited with family and shot a few sessions.
This is the first time I’ve flown to Toronto, usually we drive, and it felt mighty weird I tell you. The flight is only an hour, so you basically just take off and then land again, but it was such a different way to get here. Flying over the city you grew up in is a crazy thing. So much changes every time I come back, and yet some things are exactly the same. And I also love how the cars look like little toy cars when you come in to land.
One of the sessions I came to Toronto for this weekend was Vicki and Matt’s Engagement. Vicki and I went to University together and I was so excited when she and Matt chose me to be their wedding photographer. We had the session in the same park where their reception is going to be next summer, so it was really nice to walk around and plan out some shots for the wedding, as well as have a great time shooting their engagement session.
Here is a sneak peek of our adventures – more on that later!
