1 Scruffy and 2 adorable twins ~ Sneak Peek
Posted on Sep 27, 2011 at 1:13 pm by Liz · 6 CommentsI think my favourite baby-age to photograph is 6 months old. At this age, babies react to the world around them and give the cutest little smiles – as well as they are still really awkward and so cute.
Last night I got to spend some time outside in the beautiful weather with Kim and Keane and their growing family. Hudson, their adorable mystery mix came along for the session and we all know how much I adore photographing dogs so this was a fantastic thing for me.
Hudson was the first (fur)kid.

Hanging out with “his” babies.

Now please get ready for a cute-attack…seriously, you may not be able to handle the cuteness that is coming at you right now.
Introducing Amelia and Odin, pretty much the cutest babies ever.

Amelia is already a complete Daddy’s girl and is happiest in his arms.

Odin just discovered his tongue. He really likes to stick it out at you and blow bubbles.

What a beautiful family.

Dog Art: Scruffy Style
Posted on Jun 29, 2011 at 6:47 am by Liz · No CommentsNot only do I love photographing dogs, but I love showing off what clients have done with their portraits. Scruffy‘s human, Karen, really wanted to show off Scruffy’s awesomeness on her walls in a big way and we ended up accomplishing this with a custom canvas cluster. A canvas cluster is when more than two canvases are grouped together on one wall and they look amazing.
Karen opted for four square canvases at 12″x12″ and a custom sized 25″ canvas for the middle to really pop the images. I absolutely love the portraits she chose to display and I think it looks so fantastic in her home.

My amazing hubby, Thomas, hung the canvas cluster for Karen. I helped by handing him tools and holding things up. I was integral in the hanging of these canvases (yea…not so much! haha)

Here are Karen and the Scruffmeister enjoying their new wall of art!

And now for some of my favourite images from Scruffy’s session. Scruffy is an amazing pooch who has been through a lot before finding his human, Karen. At the age of 6, it’s hard for dogs to be adopted, but that didn’t matter to Karen. As soon as she saw his image online she knew he was the one. She drove hours and hours to Barrie, Ontario to pick up Scruffy, and they have been best friends ever since. Karen and Scruffy have worked so hard to help him overcome his past and this photo session was a celebration of who Scruffy has become: a cute little gentleman who fiercely loves his human…and she in return.
And without further adieu, the man of the hour himself, Scruffy.

Posted on May 21, 2011 at 8:50 pm by Liz · 2 CommentsToday I had the utmost pleasure in sharing the beautiful sunshine with Scruffy and his human, Karen. We had a wonderful time walking through the paths that the two walk together so often.
Here are two for tonight, and I promise you, there are A LOT more of this cutie to come.
The bond between these two is amazing and I really feel it in these photos.

ps. Thank you to Karen’s friend Sarah for helping out with today’s session!
