I think I want to marry you…

Yesterday I had the utmost pleasure of capturing Alexandra and Mike’s wedding day at the picturesque Code’s Mill Inn and Spa.

There were so many personal touches in this wedding and it was just amazing to be a part of the day. I can just feel the love that Alexandra and Mike have for each other and it makes my heart smile (if hearts could smile).

One quick sneak peek. Sorry to Mike, who you can’t really see in this portrait, but I just love it so much it had to be the sneak peek!

A Windy Wedding

Posted on Oct 5, 2010 at 4:26 pm by · 3 Comments

Glenda and Drew were married on one of the windiest days of the summer. The forecast was calling for rain, but aside from a few drops in the morning, it was a beautiful, albeit windy, day! I have to give Glenda kudos for lasting as long as she did in her veil as it blew around all over!

Glenda and Drew’s wedding colours were simple, green and white, and it was beautifully accented with green shoes and bridesmaids dresses.

Not only did the bride look beautiful and the groom look quite handsome, their flower girl and ring bearer almost stole the limelight. Both were adorably cute and the ring bearer even caught the garter and busted quite the break dancing moves on the dance floor!

We headed to the grounds of the Museum of Science and Technology for the photos and Glenda and Drew looked great among the big trains and tracks.

Congratulations guys!

Now join your hands, and with your hands your hearts

I have never seen a bride and groom so relaxed before their wedding. Melanie and Jeff were the epitome of the calm bride and groom. I posted a sneak peek image after their wedding, and as you can see, not only are they relaxed, but they are stunning together as well.

Melanie and Jeff’s wedding day was perfect: the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and they were getting married! Melanie beamed as she got laced into her beautiful floor length wedding dress and her family and friends filled the house with such love. Jeff waited at the church for his bride, surrounded by his groomsmen. Melanie looked breathtaking as her father led her down the aisle. They were married in front of a church filled to the brim with love and this love continued through their reception.

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as hard as I did at the speeches at this wedding. Oh man, Melanie and Jeff have hilarious family members. There were stories of chasing raccoons (to save them) and how Melanie hated horses (she now has a farm with over 10 of them). So much fun.

I have to give a shout out to the bridal party for being so wonderful and walking all over the Arboretum for the photos. You guys were troopers – troopers in high heels and hot suits.

Melanie and Jeff, thank you for having me document your day. It was truly a spectacular wedding and I know you two will be happy together forever.

This is one of my favourite bridal photos ever. I think it is just stunning.

Special thanks to Laurie from Studio 1948 for shooting the ceremony with me so we could get these beautiful views from the balcony at the church.

Melanie and Jeff’s bridal party were so much fun!

They even climbed trees for me!

Melanie and Jeff were the best “dippers” I’ve worked with in a long time!

I just love willow trees. They are so majestic.

This series just makes me smile – Jeff picked Melanie up and spun her around.

The reception hall looked beautiful.

This is one of my favourite shots ever – Melanie’s bridesmaid was playing with the bubbles during the first dance and I caught this.

I love photographing the dances – such beautiful emotion in them.
