I think I want to marry you…
Posted on Jul 10, 2011 at 7:20 pm by Liz · 4 CommentsYesterday I had the utmost pleasure of capturing Alexandra and Mike’s wedding day at the picturesque Code’s Mill Inn and Spa.
There were so many personal touches in this wedding and it was just amazing to be a part of the day. I can just feel the love that Alexandra and Mike have for each other and it makes my heart smile (if hearts could smile).
One quick sneak peek. Sorry to Mike, who you can’t really see in this portrait, but I just love it so much it had to be the sneak peek!

Have fun in Italy you two!
Have a wonderful day,

I’ve had the time of my life
Posted on Jun 20, 2011 at 7:51 pm by Liz · 1 Commentand I’ve never felt this way before…
Last night I had a blast with Kurtis and Bailey for their engagement session. It was full of laughs, old farms, broken down awesome trucks from the 50s, bugs, tall grass and bushes, singing, beautiful lakes and bike riding.
Lots more soon, but for now, here is one that I am totally in love with.

Have a wonderful day,

The elizabeth&jane photography Home Studio
Posted on Apr 14, 2011 at 11:00 am by Liz · 4 CommentsLast year I blogged about our office makeover and I thought it would also be fun to share images of my home studio with you as well.
When couples come in for a wedding consultation, we meet in my home studio which is located in Nepean (Ottawa). I am very proud of our pretty rad decorating skills and I think the space really lends to my style of photography.
So take a look around my home studio and I hope you enjoy it!

The goblet in the left image was a wedding gift from Thomas’ parents. It was given to them by family on their wedding day and they passed it on to us on ours. I love special family heirlooms like that.

If you have any questions regarding specific products, my process, work, or if you would like to set up a consultation or a session, I would be more than happy to assist you.
Have a wonderful day,

Swept off Their Feet
Posted on Apr 11, 2011 at 10:00 am by Liz · 1 CommentThe title of this post not only describes the love that Sarah and Phil have for each other, but also the crazy wind on the day of their engagement session!
I am sure Sarah thought that every picture would have her hair blowing all crazy and out of control, but the wind acted more like her own personal wind machine, sweeping her hair beautifully around her face.
Sarah and Phil, thank you so much for walking so far around downtown Ottawa – I hope you love your portraits as much as I do!

One thing I love doing after engagement sessions is Save the Date or Wedding Invitations. Coming from a graphic design background, I actually have a lot of fun designing these up! I particularly love these Boutique Style Save the Dates I mocked up for Sarah and Phil.

Have a wonderful day,
