Baby G.I.Joe ~ Garrick’s Newborn Session
Posted on May 16, 2012 at 9:00 am by Liz · 2 CommentsNothing prompts a smile quite like a newborn baby. Sarah and Ben were certainly smiling when I photographed their 6 day old son Garrick.
Garrick was a little young for smiles, but that was quite alright because every other expression he made was adorable! As with most new babies, he was happiest sleeping, so I was able to get some great shots of him snuggling into his beaming parents.
Say hello to Baby G.I.Joe – Garrick.

Garrick just turned one last week so let’s send out some birthday wishes to him and his family!

There’s no place like home ~ Baby A’s Sneak Peek
Posted on Nov 23, 2011 at 12:03 pm by Liz · No CommentsYesterday I had such a wonderful afternoon. I got to spend it with beautiful 6 day old Baby A and her brand new parents. This baby is such a lucky little one and has been loved long before she was born.
Such an incredible journey and such an incredible little miracle.
Baby A’s family has the best decorated home – seriously right out of a design magazine. When I saw this stunning chandelier in their kitchen, I knew I had to use it in the session. I LOVE the way these images turned out.

The tissue paper pom poms in the background of the image are from Pom+Love on Etsy (Baby A’s Mom and I both adore Etsy). Baby A’s Mom got them for above her crib instead of a mobile – isn’t that such a great idea? She got them in the colours of Baby A’s nursery.
The perfect holiday gift!

Workin’ it for the camera. She is already a star.

Baby A’s shoe collection is impressive. These were my favourites though!

Family.

Love.

Thank you to my amazing friend, Sarah, for this custom knit baby bowl – it worked perfectly and Baby A loved it so much she fell fast asleep in it.

Baby A has some pretty awesome big siblings. They love her a lot and are always making sure they are as close as they can be, just in case they are needed.

An early surprise ~ a *tiny* sneak peek
Posted on May 17, 2011 at 2:04 pm by Liz · 1 CommentIt was just a few weeks ago that I had Sarah and Ben’s maternity session and here we are today with their brand new baby boy. Funny thing is, Sarah’s official due date isn’t until tomorrow, but their baby had other plans.
Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure and honour of capturing baby Garrick’s first official photo session. Garrick’s Daddy is in the army so we were able to incorporate that into his session.
Please welcome Garrick, at a mere 4 days old in these portraits.

Lots more soon.

Not much longer now
Posted on Apr 9, 2011 at 9:00 am by Liz · 2 CommentsSarah and Ben are going to be wonderful parents. These two are the epitome of good health – Sarah is working out and doing pre-natal yoga, they eat better than anyone I’ve ever met (they taught me something about dried fruit and sulphites while I was there!) and they are the sweetest, most genuine couple you will ever meet. I always have such a lovely time when I am with them.
I cannot wait until this little one makes his or her debut in May and we are already talking about ideas for the newborn session! They aren’t finding out the sex of the baby and I don’t know how they are doing it! I would definitely want to know as soon as I could.
So while we wait for “the kid” to finish cooking, here are some of Sarah and Ben‘s maternity portraits.

Little Boy Blue
Posted on Apr 7, 2011 at 10:00 am by Liz · 4 CommentsAidan’s parents are the kind of people I could talk to all day. They are warm and caring and we like the same TV shows – score!
Aidan was a mere six days old and not very sleepy during his session because he was so interested in what was going on! Not to worry though, with a lot of cuddling and even more eating, he fell fast asleep by the end of the session and we got some fantastic portraits.
