They’re Back! Holiday Card Mini Sessions

I realize that it’s only September and you’ll probably all shoot me dirty looks for bringing up the holidays, but here I am doing it! With fall just around the corner, it is one of my busiest times of year so the earlier I start planning the better!

I had such fun last year doing the Holiday Card Mini Sessions that I decided to bring them back! This year I’ll be hosting two days, one in the east end of Ottawa and one in the west end. I am also now offering two different session packages this year. There are also twelve different card styles to choose from so there will definitely be something for everyone – there is even a beautiful Chanukah card this year which I am very excited about.

Silver Mini Session

• 30 minute session
• 5-10 photos professionally edited and retouched
• 24 cards
• $30 print credit

$200 +tx

Gold Mini Session

• 30 minute session
• 10-20 photos professionally edited and retouched
• 10 desk prints (8×10 or smaller, of your choice)
• 48 cards
• $150 print credit

$500 +tx

The Holiday Card Mini Sessions will take place on October 30th at Hog’s Back Park (rain date 31st) and November 6th (rain date 7th) at Petrie Island.

Early Bird Special

Book your session before October 16th and receive three FREE 5×7 prints of your favourite images from the shoot!

Full session fee due to book your time and date. This event is very limited and will sell out, so book soon to secure your spot and avoid disappointment! To book your session, email Liz.

Catherine Amongst the Daffodils

I met with Catherine last week for a photo shoot with the beautiful daffodils blooming in Hogs Back Park. There is only a short window to get these beautiful flowers all in bloom and we hit the time perfectly.

Cat is a great artist and she hand-makes beautiful cards. Cat loves nature and yoga and wanted to incorporate this into her session which I think we were able to do very well.

Cat was wearing an amazing necklace that she purchased through Etsy from a company called NeckLush. It is so beautiful and can be worn in so many different ways. I was really surprised at how light it was (I may or may not have tried it on myself haha). They are hand made in New York and are just so unique – I’ve never seen anything like it before!

This is my favourite shot from the session – a moment of giggles laughing at all of the cars driving by with people staring at us, wondering what we were doing.

New for 2010 Weddings: Complimentary Thank You Cards in EVERY Collection!

I love getting mail. Nowadays it’s usually just bills and junk mail, but every once and a while you get something really special and it makes you really excited to open it and read what someone has sent to you personally.

For the 2009 Holidays we launched our line of personalized holiday cards and they went over so well we decided we wanted to bring them over into my wedding collections.

I am so excited to announce that we will be including complimentary, personalized Thank You Cards in EVERY Wedding Collection booked this year*! I hope this will be a great asset to my clients as they won’t have to worry about finding Thank You Cards after the wedding. It is also such a unique way to show off some of your favourite images from the wedding to your guests and others who sent you well wishes after your big day.

I got inspired last weekend and created some really great designs. These will be available to all of our wedding clients as well as some new ones that I will announce in a few weeks. All cards are 5×5 and printed on either fine art watercolour or linen paper. Envelopes included.
