Wedding Vendor Love ~ Pearls for Girls

Last fall I was contacted by a former client about doing some catalog shots for a Canadian charity called Pearls for Girls. I adore helping charities out in any way I can so I said an enthusiastic YES and we set out to capture the beautiful jewellery in the founder’s gorgeous back yard.

When I was photographing (and drooling over) these lovely pieces, I mentioned to them that a lot of them would be perfect as bridal jewellery and so came the idea for a session with a real live bride. Enter the beautiful, lovely, wonderful and amazing Genevieve (and James too), whose wedding I photographed last summer at the Herb Garden in Almonte.

Lauren and Alex’s Rustic Winter Wedding at Strathmere ~ Sneak Peek

Yesterday was the perfect day for an outdoor winter wedding at Strathmere and Lauren and Alexs’ wedding was the perfect winter wedding! Every detail was planned out perfectly, down to the wood invitations and maple syrup dressing favours.

I think that everyone in attendance thought Lauren looked absolutely stunning and Alex was quite the handsome gentleman. These two were so brave to weather the cold temperatures for some beautiful winter portraits.

Lauren and Alex, it was such an honour to capture your wedding day and I know you two will be happy for years to come.

One Lifetime Is Not Enough With You ~ Marissa and Marc’s Sneak Peek

Yesterday I had the honour of capturing Marissa and Marc’s beautiful wedding day. These two have been together for over 15 years so the two families already knew each other so well and were elated to be celebrating this special day with the bride and groom.

Best Wishes for a Beautiful Wedding ~ Reception Album

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I just love creating photo books. I love everything from designing them to seeing your face when you open it – LOVE!

Hilary and Phil‘s session was so much fun and I cannot wait for their wedding in a few weeks (it’s almost here guys!). Their Reception Album turned out so beautifully and I wanted to share it with all of you.

Marry Me, Today and Every Day

“Forever can never be long enough for me to feel like I’ve had long enough with you.” Train, Marry Me.

Every once and a while there comes along a song that makes my heart all fluttery and I keep pressing repeat on my iPod. Right now, this song is by a band called Train and the song is called “Marry Me“.

I predict that this will be THE bride and groom first dance song for couples getting married in 2011, and I can 100% see why. I want to get married again just to dance to this song. It’s beautiful and I am so in love with it. It expresses the exact way I feel about Thomas and I think that is wonderful.
