The Story of Their Wedding Day ~ Jenn and Tyler
Posted on Nov 1, 2010 at 11:30 am by Liz · 1 CommentI’ve mentioned before how much I love creating Photo Books and how much I love what we get to do with your photos after the session or wedding.
This is Jenn and Tyler‘s Photo Book. They ordered a beautiful 12×12, 40 page book and it is just stunning.
Take a peek.
Books are heirloom pieces that can be passed down to future generations to remember such a beautiful wedding day. All of our photo books are professionally bound, hardcover with thick, lay-flat pages.
One thing that’s great about using my two passions, photography and graphic design, together, is that I get to create an array of stellar products for my clients that has a string of continuity throughout each piece. Every item holds its own and looks great, but you can definitely tell that these products belong to the same set.
Here is a photo of some of the other items from Jenn and Tyler’s wedding in August.

If you have any questions about our designs or products, get in touch!
Have a wonderful day,

I love stuff
Posted on Sep 24, 2010 at 11:00 am by Liz · 2 CommentsI love stuff. I know it’s bad, but I do. I’ve always been wowed by fancy and awesome packaging and I love shopping a bit too much – although Thomas would argue that I love it A LOT too much (Speaking of the ALOT).
Loving packaging lead me to a career as a graphic designer, which lends itself to my photography business very nicely. I absolutely love doing fancy design projects with my clients’ photos and creating beautiful “stuff” out of them. I am always on the lookout for the best and most innovative products for my clients, and also for me. I pretty much own at least one of each of the products I offer because I simply love them. And I’m not talking samples, I am talking my own personal books, CD cases, mini albums, holiday cards and so much more. There is something so wonderful about being able to hold something and feel it in your hands. The digital age is wonderful, don’t get me wrong, but these are what you bring out to show your family and friends because you can pass them around and have a conversation about it.
My goal in creating these products is to have a continuous thread of design throughout so that it all fits together as a set. You’d know by looking at it that it came from the same session.
One of the newest things I’ve found and will begin offering soon are these adorable accordion mini albums. They really are cute. They are 3×3 and have magnetic closures so you can actually stick it to the fridge. The photos and design are printed on fine art linen paper and it just looks amazing.
I created one with the photos from our wedding and I’m now carrying it around in my purse. I actually keep trying to find people I haven’t shown it to, so I can show them (I know, I’m lame)! Because of my little carrying-it-everywhere-with-me-obsession, I am actually including little frosted slip covers so that the books don’t get dinged up while travelling around the world in purses.
Getting back to creating consistent design, here are some items from Sarah and Ben’s session in July.

On a side note, I’d like to thank my wonderful hubby, Thomas, for being my assistant and holding the reflector in just the right position for this shot.
Have a wonderful day,

The Story of Their Wedding Day ~ Katie and Mathieu
Posted on Sep 14, 2010 at 12:00 pm by Liz · No CommentsOne of my absolute favourite things to do with wedding photos, is lay them out in a beautiful 12×12 or 10×10 photo book. I love it – it may come from my graphic design background, but there is nothing more fun than laying out a photo book…aside from actually shooting that is! I shoot each wedding day like a story so the book is a natural way for the photographs to be displayed.
Katie and Mathieu ordered a 12×12, 40 page Wedding Photo Book and it did not disappoint! The 12×12 is such a “go big or go home” size and it’s just beautiful. They also ordered two 8×8 copies of the book for each of their parents – how sweet and such a great idea for a gift for parents!
