White Socks ~ Gunner the Duck Tolling Retriever

Gunner is just about the cutest thing you’ll ever see! Not only does he have a beautiful golden-brown coat, but his paws and chest are all touched with white. It’s almost as if he’s wearing tiny white socks!

Gunner is a playful dog who had a great time checking out all the toys Gunner’s human and I brought with us as well as whatever sticks and smells he could find. He also had a lot of fun hiding and running in the long grass.

This session was a special one because the final print collection was a gift for Gunners human Dad. He is a fire fighter so we tried our best to include bits of that in the session including fire hydrants (both real and in toy form) and the amazing red doors of an old converted fire house in Hintonburg.

While he loves having fun, Gunner also treasures the most important thing in his life: his human family! The loveable fur ball knows who belongs to him, too bad it’s not me!

Prepare to oooh and awwww (and awwwww and awwww).

Here is the surprise birthday print collection that was ordered for Gunner’s human Dad. Love it!

You will notice in these final prints that Gunner’s leash has been digitally removed. I purposely left it in most of the above images to display that safety is always my number one concern. We always have the dogs leashed if they are young and also if they are in the city because of passing cars and lots of distractions. Leashes are removed from final prints and album orders.

Another exciting thing about this session is that I was able to have a HUGE 24×36 canvas printed to hang in the awesome store Masters n Dogs in Westboro (formerly Bark&Fitz). The owner selected this image herself as a favourite to hang at the front of the store!

Schnauzer Shnuggles ~ Bailey and Diva’s sneak peek

Yesterday afternoon was my last session of 2011 and it was a great way to end an amazing year. I got to spend the afternoon with two adorable schnauzers, Bailey and Diva, and of course, their human, Maryse. We had such a wonderful time walking through the trails around their home in Nepean and these two kept me laughing the whole time!

I just love this sign that’s on the fence to their back yard – so cute!

Bailey is 10 years young and loves playing with his toys outside. Diva is an 8 year old small dog with a big personality and definitely lives up to her name!

Puppy Love ~ Cooper’s Sneak Peek

Yesterday afternoon I met up with Cooper and his human, Elizabeth, at Bruce Pit park in Nepean for some running, playing and jumping.

Cooper is a Goldendoodle and at 5 months old, has A LOT of energy. He gets really excited by leaves on the ground, so we had a lot of running around and playing in them.

What is black and white (and tan) and cute all over? ~ Bailey, Rascal and Zoë’s Sneak Peek

After having to reschedule once due to dreary weather, I was thrilled to photograph Bailey, Rascal and Zoë yesterday afternoon in the beautiful sunshine and fall weather.

Bailey’s humans, Chelsea and Scott contacted me after seeing Barley’s images on the blog a few weeks ago. Barley and Bailey are best of friends and I guess Barley had been bragging about all those treats he got! haha.

Bailey is a beagle/lab mix and honestly looks like someone took a shrink ray and just shrunk a black lab down to a mini size. She is so tiny, and so very sweet. I had a great time playing with her and getting covered in licks and love.

After we finished playing outside, we headed back to Chelsea and Scott’s place for some shots of their other fur-kids, Rascal and Zoë, who definitely knew how to work it for the camera.

THEN Mom gave Rascal some catnip and all bets were off!

Lots of animals + an amazing couple = love! ~ Melanie and Jeff’s Sneak Peek

You may remember Melanie and Jeff from their wedding I photographed last year. Melanie emailed me a few months ago with the idea of a “farm session”. Melanie and Jeff live on a farm where Melanie runs a horse camp. I jumped at the idea and we had such a wonderful time yesterday evening.

I got to play with their two dogs, Calvin and Levi as well as Melanie’s horse and saw their sheep, ponies, teensy barn kittens and even some frogs jumping around in the field – it was quite the evening!

McCadden really wanted to eat the yummy green grass and was very happy to let me take this shot. She just munched and munched away. This was probably her favourite shot…because I wasn’t trying to make her ignore the delicious grass! haha

Now it’s time for Jeff’s baby, the tractor. I was really excited because I got to ride in it! It’s the first time I’ve ever been in a tractor and it was awesome. We went like 20kph!! haha
