Baby G.I.Joe ~ Garrick’s Newborn Session
Posted on May 16, 2012 at 9:00 am by Liz · 2 CommentsNothing prompts a smile quite like a newborn baby. Sarah and Ben were certainly smiling when I photographed their 6 day old son Garrick.
Garrick was a little young for smiles, but that was quite alright because every other expression he made was adorable! As with most new babies, he was happiest sleeping, so I was able to get some great shots of him snuggling into his beaming parents.
Say hello to Baby G.I.Joe – Garrick.

Garrick just turned one last week so let’s send out some birthday wishes to him and his family!
Have a wonderful day,

Stud Muffin at Six Months ~ Tavis’ Sneak Peek
Posted on Mar 13, 2012 at 8:59 pm by Liz · 2 CommentsIt’s not every day that you get to photograph an adorable baby. What makes this even more special is the aforementioned cuteness belongs to some super-talented photographers who I am privileged to call friends.
Meet Tavis, a super amazing 6 month old baby who has a very spiffy wardrobe and a fantastic smile. This little dude is one of the most chilled babies I’ve ever met and has some great baby blue eyes.
His parents are Brian and Ivanette Hargreaves from the amazing BH Photography. They are fantastic wedding and portrait photographers and have a great studio in Almonte, where we had our session today. It’s such a cute town! I need to go back and get some of this apple cinnamon bread that Ivy was telling me about from a local bakery…but I digress.
My intern, Valerie, came along on this session as well and here she is working her magic with Tavis, who doesn’t seem too pleased with it – but I promise he loved her!

His other name should be: Stud Muffin

Tavis prefers not to wear shoes.

Brian is a volunteer firefighter and Tavis is proud of him. While he doesn’t like shoes, he likes fireman boots. Obviously because they are far better than boring old shoes.

“My Dad is a firefighter” – Tavis

All smiles for Mommy.

Family! I love how Tavis isn’t paying any attention to me at all haha – Valerie had him very captivated!

“My other car is my Dad’s shoulders” – Tavis

“They are kissing aren’t they…gross…” -Tavis

Baby on a railroad = stinkin’ cute! (please note that this railroad is barely used so we were very safe while taking these photos. I promise.)

…and we’re done.

Have a wonderful day,

Cupcake Smash and a Bath ~ Aidan’s Sneak Peek
Posted on Feb 18, 2012 at 3:46 pm by Liz · No CommentsI love seeing clients’ family’s grow and when Andrea contacted me for a 1 year session for Aidan, I was more than thrilled!
You may remember Aidan’s newborn session from last year. I was lucky enough to capture his early days and boy has he grown since then!
Remember Aidan at 6 weeks:

And here he is at 1! He had some cheerios….and they kinda got all over the place – by no fault of his own…obviously.

Family.

Mr. Aidan loves being thrown up in the air like an airplane.
We also decided that since Aidan had just celebrated his first birthday, we should let him go nuts on a cupcake…I think he liked it…

Seconds before he started “painting” the floor with the icing, using the cupcake like a crayon.

After we finished getting cupcake everywhere, Aidan was in desperate need of a bath. Aidain LOVES baths and had a fantastic time playing and splashing…and eating the bubbles. Yum.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEEEE” – Aidan.

Have a wonderful day,

Love, Smiles and Licks ~ Hayden and Ashton’s Sneak Peek
Posted on Dec 11, 2011 at 9:30 am by Liz · 1 CommentI had a wonderful afternoon yesterday with 10 week old baby, Hayden, and his “big brother” Ashton, a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier.
Hayden was a superstar for the entire session and enjoyed his time in front of the camera. Not to be left out, Ashton hammed it up and gave me lots and lots of kisses – sometimes even while I was photographing his baby brother! (I am actually quite used to this haha).
Introducing Hayden, soon to be breaking hearts in Ottawa! What an adorable little dude!

Hayden loved peek-a-boo and had the best smile! Cutiepie!

Ashton is such a wonderful big brother.

I just love this shot – it just exudes “family” to me.

Feet! My favourite part of this image is Ashton kinda of side looking wondering what we are doing. haha

Now it’s Ashton’s turn! He waited (not-so) very patiently because I had treats and he wanted them.

Love this one – look at him posing!

Have a wonderful day,

There’s no place like home ~ Baby A’s Sneak Peek
Posted on Nov 23, 2011 at 12:03 pm by Liz · No CommentsYesterday I had such a wonderful afternoon. I got to spend it with beautiful 6 day old Baby A and her brand new parents. This baby is such a lucky little one and has been loved long before she was born.
Such an incredible journey and such an incredible little miracle.
Baby A’s family has the best decorated home – seriously right out of a design magazine. When I saw this stunning chandelier in their kitchen, I knew I had to use it in the session. I LOVE the way these images turned out.

The tissue paper pom poms in the background of the image are from Pom+Love on Etsy (Baby A’s Mom and I both adore Etsy). Baby A’s Mom got them for above her crib instead of a mobile – isn’t that such a great idea? She got them in the colours of Baby A’s nursery.
The perfect holiday gift!

Workin’ it for the camera. She is already a star.

Baby A’s shoe collection is impressive. These were my favourites though!

Family.

Love.

Thank you to my amazing friend, Sarah, for this custom knit baby bowl – it worked perfectly and Baby A loved it so much she fell fast asleep in it.

Baby A has some pretty awesome big siblings. They love her a lot and are always making sure they are as close as they can be, just in case they are needed.

Have a wonderful day,
