Sarah and Andrew’s wedding products reflected their elegant style while incorporating their purple colour theme into the design.
Take a look at their lovely wedding album here:
Which one moment will last for each of you forever?
Bride: It is impossible to pick just one moment so here are some highlights – my Dad’s speech was incredibly moving and funny and brought me and my sister to tears; Andrew’s vows were sweet, loving and articulate (which I was absolutely not afterwards); my brother’s epic slideshow; the fun everyone had on the dance floor; all the hilarious stories our guests shared to get us to kiss; the fact that so many people pitched in to make the day special (my sister making the cake; my mom, aunt, and grandmother helping make my veil; using the ring pillow from my parent’s wedding that my great-grandmother made; Andrew’s grandpa and uncle helping to make our invitations; the girls putting together the centerpieces the morning of).
Groom: 1. Our friends forming a swaying circle around Sarah and I slow-dancing during the beginning of the last dance of the night (Freebird – Lynyrd Skynyrd) and then everyone going crazy, jigging, dancing, and careening about the room after the increase in tempo. 2. Sarah surprising me by singing to me in front of all of our guests. 3. My father’s speech.
Best advice for future bride/grooms?
If you are planning a wedding on your own, give yourselves a year to do it so that you are less likely to feel overwhelmed and stressed about all that’s involved. Planning should be fun, not a chore. Relax, and revel in every moment of your wedding day; it goes by fast.
Best wedding related decision?
Spending wisely on our wedding reception so that we could afford to spend a little extra on photography. Liz was worth every penny we paid and captured our day perfectly. She went above and beyond our expectations on so many levels with thoughtful gestures, helpful advice, interesting poses, and fantastic ideas (like beautiful photo cards for our guests with a link and password to our wedding proofs).
What was the funniest memory from your wedding day?
Mixing up lots of our officiant’s instructions during our handfasting ceremony.
What is your favourite image from your wedding day and why?
Mental image: Looking out upon the smiling faces of our family and friends during our ceremony.
Photograph: How could we possibly choose? There are easily 30 photographs that could all be our favourite.

I love designing 3×3 Mini Books for clients to show off their great photos and Isidore and Fleurette’s Mini Books were so much fun!
On Saturday I photographed a wonderful wedding in the heart of the 1000 Islands at the Ivy Lea Club. Lori and Tom were married in an intimate ceremony on a beautiful summer day.
Lori’s stunning gown was custom made by Jenny at With Love Bridal.
The beautiful flowers by Magnolia Flowers.
Inside the Ivy Lea Club amongst their beautiful decor, gazing out at the water that they often travel together on their boat.
Both Lori and Tom’s rings were designed by the talented Steve Thompson Jewellers.
The Ivy Lea Club was the perfect setting for Lori and Tom’s intimate wedding. As the sun set on Saturday evening, the couple celebrated with their closest family and friends at one of their favourite places.
I just love Boston Terriers and there are none cuter than Isidore and Fleurette! We had a great time walking around and playing in the park!
