“Take Paws” and Savour the Holidays!
Posted on Nov 30, 2012 at 10:00 am by Liz · No Comments
What do you get when two dog-loving ladies put their minds together? A heart-warming tale of course! (Pun completely intended!)
Liz Bradley of Elizabeth & Jane Photography and Laura L. Benn of Pawsh Magazine have brought their love of storytelling and dogs together in a gorgeous 60-page photography book, entitled Take Paws: Whiskered Wisdom About Life & Love. Specially designed to give back to the dog community, this book promises that $4 from each copy sold will be donated to Humane Society International in an effort to make a difference in the lives of pets in need.
Take Paws is a narrative interpreted through canine expression about slowing down and appreciating the fleeting moments that make life a wonderful, ridiculous and unexpected adventure. The tone of the book, although powerful enough to inspire adults, is also simple enough to be enjoyed by children, especially little ones who have a best friend with four legs and a waggy tail.
Come face to face with a moving collection of photographs that showcase genuine canine personalities and portray a fresh whiskered wisdom about life and love.
Take Paws will be available for purchase through Blurb next week!

Arboretum Amour ~ Jacynthe & Sean’s Engagement Session
Posted on Nov 29, 2012 at 9:00 am by Liz · No CommentsJacynthe and Sean wanted their engagement photos taken at the Arboretum because they used to go on long walks there when they fist started dating. I love when couples chose important and meaningful locations for their sessions because it makes the pictures and the experience much more meaningful.
These two are so adorable. They are happy, in love and genuinely content when they are together. It was easy to capture these feelings with my camera because they radiate.
Stay tuned for images from their October wedding. For now, take a look back on this beautiful fall session.

Bailey and Kurtis’ Wedding ~ A Couple in the Countryside
Posted on Nov 28, 2012 at 9:00 am by Liz · 1 Comment
I was so excited to photograph Kurtis and Bailey on their wedding day. Kurtis is my brother-in-law’s long-time best friend, and I took to Bailey instantly. I always love photographing weddings, but there is something extra special when friends of mine get married!
This whole day was perfectly suited to the couple. It was a bit cold out, but we got some sun and blue sky just in time for photographs! The whole day was stunning and so joyful.
Bailey and Kurtis married in Almonte and we took their portraits in Pakenham, which thrilled me because I love shooting in the countryside. We even stopped by the plot of land that they are hoping to build their first home on.
Which one moment will last for each of you forever?
Bailey: Picking Kurt
Kurtis: That’s for me to know
Best advice for future bride/grooms? Elope!
Best wedding related decision? Small ceremony and dinner.
What was the funniest memory from your wedding day? After Kiss, Pre-end of ceremony high fives.
What is your favourite image from your wedding day and why? We can’t choose! Too many pictures to love!!

Together Forever ~ Tiffany and Phil’s Reception Album
Posted on Nov 27, 2012 at 9:00 am by Liz · No CommentsI had a great day with Tiffany and Phil when we got together for their engagement session. It is the perfect way to get the three of us comfortable with each other before their wedding day. We were also able to use the images from that session in a beautiful reception album.

Wedded Bliss ~ Leslie and Ian’s Wedding Sneak Peek
Posted on Nov 18, 2012 at 12:57 pm by Liz · 1 CommentYesterday was my last wedding of 2012 and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend the day with! Leslie and Ian had an intimate wedding at the NAC yesterday, surrounded by their family and close friends.
Leslie’s engagement ring and wedding band are from Tacori and the detail in the bands is just exquisite. I also love how Ian’s ring has an almost wood-like texture on it.

These two were very brave and spent about 30 minutes outside with me taking some beautiful portraits – and they didn’t complain once!

Love.

The handsome Ian and gorgeous Lesley.

I love this one we took inside the NAC. This chandelier hung from 6 stories and was stunning.
