Jennifer and Tyler ~ Engagement Session in Graffiti Wall Heaven
Posted on Apr 29, 2010 at 9:30 am by Liz · 6 CommentsI love Westboro Village. I love it so much and for many reasons. I love it for Bark & Fitz where my dogs would live if they could. I love it for The Works, where I would eat every day if I could! I love it for Lululemon and my very unhealthy addiction to their clothes and bags and…everything! But most of all I love it for the feeling you get when you’re there. It is such a charismatic place and is full of such creative energy.
I have been wanting to shoot in Westboro Village with its myriad of beautiful graffiti and painted building walls, so you can imagine my excitement when Jennifer and Tyler wanted to have their engagement session there.
We met in the early evening to take advantage of less people as well as the beautiful spring sun as it was setting. We made use of many of those walls I was after and had a great time – you can’t help but have a great time when around these two.
I had such a hard time trying to narrow down which photos to show on the blog, so obviously I chose too many. So many of them screamed, show me!! You saw their sneak peek image the other day.
So without further adieu, please enjoy these photos of Jennifer and Tyler, in love.

This amazing wall is across from The Works and the only things that aren’t painted are the staircase, the green in front of the dog and obviously, Jenn and Tyler. It’s remarkable.

Jennifer and Tyler are wonderful and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding on August 7th!!
PS. and now after writing this post I am really craving a burger from The Works. Thomas would probably say, “How is that different from any other day?”. I wasn’t kidding when I said I could probably eat there every day. Hands down favourite burger of all time from The Works: Sum Yung Guy – sticky cream cheese, caramelized onions, gouda & limp strip bacon. sooooo yummy. Now I REALLY want one! And don’t even get me started on how good their Beechhouse Sauce is!!
Have a wonderful day,

Kelly and Christopher’s Wedding ~ April 10th, 2010
Posted on Apr 27, 2010 at 11:30 am by Liz · 9 CommentsA few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting alongside Julie Butler for Kelly and Christopher’s wedding at the West Carleton Convention Centre in Kanata.
As soon as we arrived at the bride’s parent’s home, we were welcomed as if we were family. Everyone was so warm and inviting and I was later to find out that this was the case for the groom’s side too. The mood before the wedding was excitement as everyone was so happy for Kelly and Christopher.
The whole day unfolded beautifully and without a hitch. The weather was wonderful and definitely co-operated with us while we did our photos outside. The speeches were among the best I have ever heard (and I’ve heard quite a few!) and I was laughing and crying along with every other guest in attendance at their wedding.
There was so much love for these two and I am so honoured I was there to capture their wedding day. I know that Kelly and Christopher will be very happy for the rest of their lives and anyone who meets them will notice their love for each other. Congratulations to the bride and groom!

They had the best candy bar at Kelly and Christopher’s wedding! Their cake was also stunning.

My New Blog
Posted on Apr 22, 2010 at 12:10 pm by Jane · No CommentsI recently launched a blog documenting my day to day life living with a chronic illness called fibromyalgia. While still in its early stages, I hope to develop the site into a resource of information and support for people living with chronic illness, as well as their family and friends.
The site also features discussions about my adventures as a young writer and photographer. In order to make use of my excessive reading, I will also be posting reading recommendations periodically.
I’d love for you to check it out and pass on the link to anyone who might be interested in reading my blog!

Product Shoot: Doggy Backpack
Posted on Apr 21, 2010 at 12:00 pm by Liz · No CommentsLast night I had a mini shoot with Paddington for an article I wrote on Doggy Backpacks for the Ottawa Dog Blog.
Paddington is a very high energy dog and we are always looking for ways to challenge her and tire her out. The dog backpack works great because you can place little rocks in it to weigh it down and she has to work harder when running. Paddy LOVES her backpack and wears it like it’s her job!
We use the backpack when we go to the dog park and we always get a lot of comments about it. Everyone loves it! I made a quick video to go with the article to show that she has no problem moving around in it! Please forgive the quality and the orientation of the video, I shot it on my phone.
Of course I had to take some of Corduroy too, because she is very cute.

Have a wonderful day,
